Zululand Aquatic and Animal Adventures is run by Gavin and Jenny Udal from Mtubatuba, where we are ideally situated with close proximity to the Hluhluwe/iMfolozi Game Reserve, South Africa’s oldest game park, boasting the 'Big Five', as well as the St Lucia Wetlands, SA's first natural world heritage site.

Game Reserve Safaris

Trips into the nearby world renowned Hluhluwe/iMfolozi Game Reserve can either be a one-on-one personalised guide in a luxury 4X4 vehicle or in the Parks’ recognised open game viewing vehicle.

Experience a bush breakfast (bacon, eggs, sausage etc) on the morning trip or a steak braai and sundowners on the afternoon trip, whilst enjoying great game viewing and magnificent scenery.

Photografic and birding safaris are undertaken into the Hluhluwe/iMfolozi Park, St. Lucia Wetlands and surrounding areas for particular species of interest.

All gate entry fees, meals and refreshments (incl beer, wine and G&T) are included in the charge.

Morning drives depart at 4.30 a.m (summer time) or 5.30 a.m (winter time) and return between 12.30 and 2.00 p.m.

Afternoon drives depart 1.30 p.m (summer time) or 12.30 p.m (winter time) and return 7.30 p.m (summer time) and 6.30 p.m (winter time).

Cape Vidal Aquatic Adventure & Game Drive

The Aquatic and Game Drive Adventures are run from Cape Vidal Beach, situated in the beautiful St Lucia Wetlands, with guests enjoying a trip out to sea in the morning where Gavin gives a guided experience of the ocean's life forms, reef formations, currents, weather and coastline formation. The possibility of hooking a sporting game fish for dinner is all part of the adventure. Afterwards enjoy a hearty breakfast on the beach, snorkelling and swimming in the protected bay or just relax and soak up the sun. A light lunch with refreshments is served later in the day and a game drive and sundowner trip in the afternoon complete the experience.

All park entry fees, meals and refreshments are included in the charge.

Leaves 5.00 or 6.00 am and returns 6.00 p.m.

Deep Sea Fishing

The Deep-sea Fishing trips are undertaken from Cape Vidal on a 5.4 meter semi rigid catamaran designed for salt water fly fishing, but suitable for all other fishing requirements, and is powered by 2 X 60 HP Yamaha motors. All fishing tackle and bait for your fishing needs is provided. Food and refreshments are included in the charge. It is advised that consultation to plan the day's fishing is undertaken to ensure all parties are in agreement regarding the arrangements.

Other activities offered by ZAAA include Rock and Surf fishing, Salt Water Fly-fishing - Estuary and Lakes (St Lucia, Kozi Bay) as well as Tiger fishing on the Jozini Dam. Fresh water fly-fishing can also be arranged.
